The Battle for Midwest BMX in 2020

Yes indeed it is that time of year again for friends and fans of “The Battle for Midwest BMX”! This year marks the 7th year for the Battle Series and boy have we had some fun. We all have met some amazing people from all over the place along the way. Some of those folks will be lifelong friends (or Facbook buds) and each year we get to make some new ones along the path to each contest.

With the closing of Ohio Dreams Summer Camp last year it has become clear that the sport is in a bit of a lul and we will not be handing out summer camp passes this year for the winners of the overall points. This year there will be no overall points, just 3 outstanding contests in 3 different cities to keep the fun levels all the way up!

Notables for 2020:

OLD FOOLS BMX is on board and helping out with sponsorship of the 35+ class that will be classified as “Old Fools” respectively.

A New Points Scoring System using the decimal system to prevent unwanted “TIES”

Plaques will be given out for each stop VS trophies in the past.

A new year end award termed “Your an Ape” will be given to the one who stands out the most with the judges.
