Local’s Bustin’ Loose at the Kitchen

The Kitchen Logo

The Kitchen has been a very special place since the beginning.  When one of the best riders on the planet decides to build a place in his hometown, you know its going to be something super special.  When Brett Banasiewicz decides to do something, he doesn’t piss around.  He just goes ahead and builds one of the largest and most intimidating skateparks anyone could ever dream of..  With the help of many locals and riders alike, the dream became a reality.

People said things like “WTF? That step down is CRAZY!” – “You gotta put her in 4th gear at the Kitchen” – “That place is too scary” – “Time to Man Up” – “Is this a Skatepark? Or Brett’s personal training compound”  and my personal favorite “Can I have my money back?”   These are all good things, these are things that push the next generation of riding to what we see here. It just goes to show you that when you build something that may be well outside our sports so called “comfort zone” the young bucks will always push it to the next level.

Today I give you 3 amazing riders, all 3 have an amazingly bright future ahead of them. This goes to show you that if you stick with something, you can make anything you want happen!  Props to these 3 and I can’t wait to see what else comes out of the Kitchen in South Bend over the next few years!
