The Battle for Midwest BMX Kicks off This Weekend at Ray’s MTB in Cleveland, Ohio

 

This year The Battle continues on 4 separate stages to see who reigns King after the dust settles over in Butler, Ohio for the finals at Ohio Dreams Action Sports Camp.  Here is the breakdown for this weekend in Cleveland, Ohio at the infamous Ray’s Mountain Bike Park, where the Rhythm Room will be transformed for an afternoon of shredding, hanging out with buddies,high fives, and making some new friends all at the same time!

1.10.15 – Ray’s Mountain Bike Park – Cleveland, Ohio 

Amateur Classes: Beginner / Intermediate – The Battle Series will piggyback the “Rookie of the Year” Contest already in its 2nd year at the Mega MTB Park.  Points for both classes count towards the final points in April 2015.  The action starts promptly at 3pm, Highest Air, Footdown, and Best Transfer contests will go down though-out the afternoon as well with plenty of free gear up for grabs.

Course Use: All Lines Excluding the BIG Line

COST: Pay to Ride Ray’s, and the Contest is Free to Enter


 

PRO/OPEN – KING OF RHYTHM: Ray’s MTB will host one of 2 Pro/Open stops at this years Battle for Midwest BMX.  The second location will be at The Kitchen BMX & Skatepark in South Bend, Indiana.  The King of Rhythm (KOR) was a contest originally held at the now deceased “The Flow Skatepark” in Columbus, Ohio.  The KOR was always one to attend every year, and we plan to bring it back with style this year!  Open means anyone can enter to test their skills against the PRO Class!

Course use: ALL OF IT

The Format: JAM STYLE – Intro Runs – 20 Minute Jam – Final Runs

COST: A Special $20 Entry Fee into Rays, and a $20 Entry Fee for a 100% Cash Payout – $40 in Total


 

OLD FOOLS CLASS: Is just like it sounds, if you don’t fit into any other class and you happen to be old, this is the class for you.  The Older the trick the cooler you get!

3 Simple Rules: 1) No Tailwhips 2) No Barspins 3) No Flips

COST: Pay to get into Ray’s & $5 to enter – Top 3 get an OLD FOOLS Prize Pack!
